They are the new dream girls of young India who can make a billion hearts skip a beat with just a languorous smile. And unlike their predecessors, they are neither coy about their love lives nor shy of flaunting the sex symbol tag they’ve earned. These are real women blessed with dollops of confidence, lead independent lives despite having boyfriends and know exactly where to draw the line.

While all four may be sexy, they’ve got different degrees and connotations of animal magnetism. While Katrina’s attractiveness is earthy, oozing sweet innocence, Kareena has an urbane edginess to her appeal. Deepika’s youthful enthusiasm and athletic body have a very different effect from Priyanka’s smouldering sensuality.

Kareena Kapoor, who is definitely one of the most stylish actresses in Bollywood today, is quick to admit that being called ‘sexy’ is something that excites her. “I think being called a heartthrob and sexy is definitely a compliment,” she says.

Ask Priyanka Chopra the secret and she says, “Sensuality depends on a lot of things and not just how you look and what you wear. It depends on your body language and also how you are able to carry yourself. It’s definitely the whole personality. It is more of a thing of the mind, I would say.” The real sex organ, my friends, is definitely the brain.

Even Katrina Kaif, voted one of the sexiest women in recent polls, agrees, adding that being attractive and yet approachable is the real thing. “Sexy is a very interesting word for me. It’s about your total package. It’s about being approachable and attractive and also the kind of persona you portray on screen. In India, people find real women sexy.”



On the other hand, Deepika Padukone thinks sexiness is an X factor which some people just have, and it isn’t something you can just decide to go out and get. “It’s something you feel naturally. Confidence also makes a woman feel and appear sexy. It’s not about trying to be somebody or how much skin you show. For me, simplicity is sexy,” says Deepika.
