Hot Pamela Anderson Steps Out for Animal Rights
Stepping out for her furry friends, Pamela Anderson was glitzy in gold as she attended The Animal Rights Foundation of Florida’s 20th Anniversary Gala in Ft Lauderdale on Saturday night (March 14).
Held at the Broward County Convention Center, the former “Baywatch” babe was accompanied by her new boyfriend, Jamie Padgett, as well as fellow guests including Gertrude Maxwell and Bob Barker.
The trip to Florida coincides with an open letter penned by Pammie and animal rights campaigners to Florida Governor Charlie Crist, which criticizes “road-side zoos in the state, where she claims chimpanzees and other animals are kept in inadequate enclosures,” Contactmusic reports.
In the letter, Anderson wrote,” With so many frustrated great apes stewing in squalid facilities in Florida, it is only a matter of time before a similar tragedy strikes your state. PETA and I appeal to you to take action to prevent Florida’s roadside zoos from keeping great apes and to ensure that these intelligent primates are transferred to approved sanctuaries to live out the remainder of their lives in suitable surroundings.”
