Freida Pinto reigns supreme on Vogue and Cosmopolitan
Of late, Freida Pinto has been wowing the Western world with her acting and fashion sense, and now the lady has taken the magazine covers by storm. The lass caught the attention of New York's hip fashion commentators, the Fug Girls; she even topped style.com's 10 Best Dressed List in February -- beating Renee Zellweger and Wendi Murdoch.
On Vogue cover, Freida looks gorgeous, wearing a cute embellished mini dress from Louis Vuitton's Spring 2009 collection. The dress also has cut-outs, metallics and sheer capped shoulders, which work with dark lips and soft curls. For Cosmopolitan India, she is wearing a stunning Christian Dior strapless dress.
On begin recognised for her style, Freida said, "I’ve become so much more aware of the fashion world recently — and I’m doomed now. There’s no turning back."
On her own style mantra, Freida said, "You’ve got to go with instinct, the right dress will make your heart skip a beat. You’ve got to fall in love with what you’re wearing to really pull it off."
Not only this, Freida is ecstatic at the limelight. When a reporter asked stylist Tiina Laakkonen why Pinto isn't being dressed exclusively in Indian fashion, Freida grabbed a pencil and scribbled, 'Because she's international now!'
